Disneyland:
#1
On June 9th I went to Disneyland with my Choir class from school along with the Orchestra and Band for the Music in the Parks festival. Both Orchestra and Band got to perform in the morning but Choir didn’t(it’s a long story) and we were all really upset about it, so I decided to arrange our own little performance outside of the festival!
Throughout our last trimester we practiced the song I See the Light (from Tangled) for our summer concert in June. Since it’s a Disney song and you can meet Rapunzel in the parks, we decided that we should sing it for her! We all met up and got in line around 4 with my music teacher and her boyfriend (they are the cutest thing btw, omg.) and rehearsed a bit while we waited. I was especially excited because I had Rapunzel’s solo in the beginning. When we finally got to the front we informed the Cast Members that we would be singing for her (Eugene wasn’t there :( ) and they seemed really excited about it! They escorted all of us into her little tower room and at first Rapunzel seemed pretty overwhelmed by the amount of people crowded into that one space, haha, but she got over it really fast(:
I did all of the talking because I’m the Disney obsessed one of the group. I told her we were going to sing for her and she looked so happy. I started the song off (acapella) and the look on her face was just so priceless and magical. We kept singing and somewhere in the middle during a break Rapunzel wiped a few tears from her eyes and said “You guys are making me cry!” Then I started tearing up too. It was so magical I couldn’t even handle my feelings, okay. We finished and she told us it was the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for her. And we all got hugs. It was amazing.
Disneyland:
#2
Okay, this took place the same day when I went with my Choir. As I mentioned before my music teacher brought her boyfriend along for the trip. She alwaystalks about him and how he just wont propose to her, so me and a few other of her students decided to be awesome and get them engraved bracelets.
We got them from Frontierland at this little stand where you can get these cute leather bracelets engraved, all for $10. There were exactly 10 of us in the group that wanted to contribute, so it worked out to where we each payed $2(it was $20 for two bracelets). One of the bracelets said “Macdo” (short for Ms. MACDOnald, my music teacher) and the other said “Chris” (her boyfriend) and they each had a little heart next to their name.
After our awards ceremony where we won 1st place for nearly everything we presented the bracelets to her and she cried. We made them hold hands with the bracelets on so we could take pictures and have a mini Disneyland photoshoot. It was great.
Then my friend Sydney had a talk with her boyfriend and he said he’s considering proposing. We felt pretty awesome afterwards.
Disney Live!
#3
I’m 16 and last year four of my friends and I went to Disney Live! Naturally it was full of little kids. They performed shortened versions of Aladdin, Toy Story and The Little Mermaid. Lucky we were in the very back row because when they told everyone to get up and dance it was easier :)
